Bluey at Disneyland: A First Look at Bluey’s Best Day Ever Show

Last week, my family and I had the opportunity to preview Bluey’s Best Day Ever at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park and I can confidently say… this is going to be a must-do for families.

We were invited by Disney to experience this brand new show before it officially opens to guests, and it completely exceeded my expectations. If you have little ones who love Bluey, this is one of those experiences that feels truly special from start to finish.

It Feels Like You’re Stepping Into an Episode

From the moment the show begins, it genuinely feels like you’ve stepped right into the world of Bluey.

Bluey and Bingo appear live on stage, bringing familiar moments and games to life in such a fun and engaging way. Some of our favorite parts included the following:

• Here come the Grannies
• Dancing along with Chatterbox
• Trivia with Unicorse
• Faceytalk with Muffin

It’s playful, high-energy, and full of those little moments that make the show so recognizable and lovable.

The Real Magic Happens Between the Shows

One of my favorite parts of this experience actually happens in between the showtimes. This is when the space really comes to life in such a fun, unexpected way.

Cast members come off the stage and interact directly with the children in the audience, turning the entire theater into an interactive play space. One of my favorite moments from the day was watching a cast member play Freeze Dance with my girls using the magic xylophone. It was one of those simple but unforgettable experiences that felt so personal and special.

Some of the play areas included:

• Fairy Garden
• Barky Boats & Helicopter Adventures

My girls especially loved playing Barky Boats, getting to jump right in and play it just like they’ve seen in the show, which made it even more exciting for them. It really felt like one of those moments where “magic is real… if you believe in it.”

Themed Treats That Are Just as Fun as the Show

Over at Troubadour Tavern, Disney has introduced a full lineup of Bluey-inspired treats that tie right into the storytelling.

We tried everything and yes… it was as fun (and delicious) as it sounds.

Some highlights include:

• Pavlova Parfait
• Asparagus Pretzel
• Poffertjes! Poffertjes!
• Stumpfest Cake
• Mud Cake Cold Brew
• Lime Ice Block Drink with a Watermelon Ice Block
• Pizza Girls Baked Potato (the cheese pull alone deserves its own moment)
• Mini Hot Dogs

And of course, there are themed souvenirs like the Bluey popcorn bucket and Bluey sipper that are sure to be a hit.

• Take advantage of this as a midday break since the Fantasyland Theatre is covered and fully shaded
• Check showtimes in the Disneyland app, but don’t skip the downtime. The in-between interactions are just as magical
