Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opens June 28 at Walt Disney World

The time has almost come to head down to New Orleans and sing a few bars of ‘Dig A Little Deeper’. Walt Disney World has announced that the long-anticipated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open on June 28th, just in time for summer vacation!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a reimagining of a beloved Walt Disney World attraction, Splash Mountain, and features the same ride track. The story for this ride begins after the movie ends - and according to Disney, will allow you to “join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.” This ride will feature all of your favorite characters from The Princess and The Frog movie, while also introducing new friends along the way. The sneak peeks that Disney has been showing of the animatronics and effects for this ride are dazzling, and sure to make this one of the best rides they’ve done!

Disney has also shared that there will be a new song created just for the ride by PJ Morton. If you’re unfamiliar with him, he’s penned some of Maroon 5’s biggest hits! Disney has also let us know that we can expect fun surprises in the queue, such as the scent of Tiana’s beignets to be piped in as you wait. Keep your eyes open for some nods to the original ride, Splash Mountain as well!
