March 13, 2024 by Laura Pitcher

If your ideal vacation involves eating around the World Showcase or enjoying several days at one of Epcot’s many festivals, then staying at an Epcot Area Resort might be the best fit for your vacation. One of the best things about staying at an Epcot Area Resort is that you're also very close to Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in the morning, and then finish the evening with Fantastic if you have a Park Hopper Ticket! Another perk to staying to close to two resorts is the ease that you can pop back to your room for a midday nap, or just some pool time with the family! Today, we’re sharing a guide to staying at an Epcot Area Resort, to help you find the perfect stay for your dream vacation. All of these resorts have rooms that can accommodate up to five guests, with plenty of room for comfort. No matter where you choose to stay for your Walt Disney World vacation, Be Our Guest Vacations can help make your trip a memory your family will forever cherish.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is incredibly popular with families and is loved for its laid-back vibes and short walking distance to Epcot. This resort shares the pool Stormalong Bay with its sister resort, the Yacht Club, and many agree that it’s the best pool at Walt Disney World. Featuring a sand bottom, this 3-acre water wonderland has a 230-foot-long waterslide, a lazy river, and three hot tubs. Smaller Mouseketeers can enjoy the Shipwreck pool, which has a miniature waterslide! When you get hungry, Cape May Cafe has a character meal for breakfast, where you can dine with Minnie Mouse and friends wearing their best beach gear. In the evening, Cape May Cafe doesn’t have characters, but it DOES have a plethora of fresh seafood at its buffet. If you’re looking for a sweet treat at a retro soda fountain, you can head to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. Disney pros will tell you to order The Kitchen Sink - which is five kinds of ice cream and every topping the restaurant has to offer! For a quick meal, you can head to The Beach Club Marketplace - with a whole section of their menu dedicated to pasta, even your pickiest little eaters will find something they love. If you're looking for a room with a great view, we recommend getting a room on the 4th floor.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The more buttoned-up sister resort of Disney’s Beach Club, Disney’s Yacht Club features a more serene and quiet environment, that might be perfect if you’re looking for a romantic stay. Evoking the charm of a New England beach resort, this resort is both elegant and soothing. While the rooms might be upscale and elegant, you'll still see touches of Disney everywhere. Be on the lookout for some Hidden Mickey's in your room! This resort boasts the same short commute to Epcot, and the same showstopping pool as Disney’s Beach Club. If you’re looking for great dining options, this might be the resort for you. The Yachtsman Steakhouse features some of the best steaks at Walt Disney World. If you’re looking for a more casual dining experience, head to The Crew’s Cup Lounge next door, which shares a kitchen with the elegant steakhouse, and some of the same menu items. If you want to try my favorite breakfast on property, head to Ale & Compass for the dark chocolate waffles. If you don't have time to sit down for waffles, you can grab something to go at the Ale & Compass Market. Traveling with your pet? Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is one of our dog-friendly resorts at Walt Disney World! If you're looking for a little more luxury, considering booking at Club Level Room at the Regatta Club - for an extra cost, you'll enjoy access to a club lounge stocked with complimentary food and beverages!

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn has the distinction of being a deluxe resort, and entertainment destination, all in one. Designed to emulate a turn-of-the-century beach boardwalk, with nods to Coney Island, you can enjoy nightlight, restaurants, and carnival games, as well as world-class accommodations. A few favorites are the dueling piano bar, JellyRolls, and the high-end seafood restaurant, The Flying Fish Some of my favorite evenings at Walt Disney World have been singing along with the crowds that gather at JellyRolls! The Boardwalk Deli has great breakfast sandwiches - I've had reoccurring dreams of their smoked salmon bagel! Looking to snag a room where you might be able to see glimpses of Epcot's fireworks? Your Be Our Guest Vacations agent can help you make specific room requests based on their knowledge of resort booking categories and room types! Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is within walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and offers something for everyone - whether you’re looking for a romantic couples getaway or a fun family trip with activities for everyone!

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Looking for a beautiful resort at a lower price point that still has incredible transportation options? Then you might want to consider staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, which is themed after the relaxation and fun colors of a tropical island. This is a Skyliner Resort - that means that you can take a fun gondola system to either Hollywood Studios or Epcot from your hotel! Rooms are separated within five distinct islands - Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba. In other words, no matter what room you are in, you will feel like you are on a Caribbean getaway! Your kids can enjoy a Spanish fort-style pool with a waterslide, while you indulge in tropical cocktails at the Banana Cabana outdoor bar and lounge. Grab a great meal at the family-style Sebastian's Bistro for a taste of the islands that the whole family will enjoy. A casual meal at Centertown Market is a faster option, that still packs all the flavors of the tropics. Want to be close to the main pools and Old Port Royale? Consider requesting a room in the Martinique Section! This resort is very large which adds to a peaceful feel on property, but make sure to talk with your Be Our Guest Vacations travel professional about a ground floor room and a preferred location if mobility is a concern or traveling with littles!

Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s newest Deluxe Resort is a luxury heavy hitter - combining the elegance of the European Riviera, with Skyliner access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. With some of the most elegant rooms at Walt Disney World, you will find accommodations ranging from a studio to three-bedroom villas where the whole family can spread out. This resort features one of Disney’s best Signature restaurants - Topolino’s Terrace offers a character meal with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed as artists for breakfast or an elevated dinner experience that celebrates the best of European food culture. As a bonus, the restaurant features a terrace with sweeping views of Disney property. For a relaxing afternoon, spend time at the resort's several pools, including the fun kid's area of S’il Vous Play, which’s themed after some of Europe’s most beautiful public fountains. My favorite spot at this resort is the beautiful mosaics that depict scenes from classic Disney films. The Tower Studios have some of the most unique accommodations at Walt Disney World, with a two adult maximum, and some of the best design to maximize the use of every inch of space!
